It was just announced that the prisoners from Gitmo will be brought to a maximum security prison in Illinois. It won’t happen quickly because the law is in the way. It happens to be against the law to bring enemy combatants, captured outside the country, into the country for imprisonment and trial. What’s a Southern White Guy Got to Say About Race?

Bill Cosby was the most reasonable man concerning race, until now. His recent statement with Jimmy Carter that people are railing against the government because Obama is black has ended my hope for racial openness. It costs nothing to accuse someone of racism, but for individuals who have made sincere efforts to change, it dulls the will for future investment. (more…)
