It’s no surprise that the unemployment rate hangs above 10%. The government is smothering small business. Too bad Obama only hires Ivy League academics with big business buddies for advisers. The Labor Department is numbers crazy. Wall Street stays drunk with numbers. As each monthly jobs number is released stock prices can soar or drop by large margins. The political pundits spend the hours and days following these reports interpreting them in a way that makes their side look good. What is More Important in Economics- National Policy or Local Action?

As Wall Street rejoices over economic “recovery”, main street continues to reel over the pain and fear of unemployment.  The formula for recovery appears to be this – give trillions to Wall Street and stocks will rise.
